Here is some GOTHIC for you!

Hello Friends
I am Janet and I am 43 years old. I have a rare condition called arthrogryposis
multiplex congenita or AMC for short.
I am independent and determined in character but sometimes can be stubborn! I
am married to Ian who is Scottish, I have been with him for almost eleven years. We live in Derby in UK and I am a student
at Derby University. I hope to do a psychology degree and work with teenagers and young adults for the
Health Service; but I'll probably end up doing something completely different.
I have had 26 operations on all limbs, feet and hands.
I can walk a short distance but I use electric scooter and wheelchair for shopping
and mobility. I attended a mainstream school which was unusual in the 60's and 70's and I had an assistant who helped me to
classrooms and at dinnertime.
I am keen to meet as many people as possible who have experience of AMC whether
they be adults with this rare condition or relatives of a person with it.
I like using email and yahoo messenger and have friends with different conditions
and charity workers who try and help people the best way they can in developing countries. I
also like making friends, telling jokes, going to the pub, listening to live music, helping people the best way I can. I like
to dream, listen to music and chat on yahoo messenger. Please chat to me my ID for MSN Messenger is janetbluecresswell@msn.com I look forward to you writing soon as you can......
I have two children stolen by state adoption policies called TAMSIN JANET RUTH CRESSWELL BORN 30.10.1998
JAKE THOMAS IAN CRESSWELL BORN 21.12.1999
If anyone knows there wherabouts please contact me
I was fostered from a baby because my natural mum could not look after me because of her own problems and it was 1961
and attitudes were very different about severely disabled babies.
I was bought up by loving christian foster parents which I am eternally grateful for because
I would have been in hospital for years and probably in an institutian if it hadn't been for them.
Sadly, they have both passed away now.
I have a foster brother called Dave
An unusual fact about me: I was born on Christmas Day.
My personality is determined, cheerful, stubborn and
sometimes too laid back.
I have been told that I have signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because
of the numerous surgeries and separation from family as a child in hospital.
In those days there were very strict visiting hours for children.
And children were given very little pain relief or comfort, not like today.
